The Objectives

  • An aesthetically appealing build which would suit the current surroundings.

  • To create a practical and versatile space to meet the needs of a modern working farm.

To erect a pair of general purpose modern agricultural buildings to both house and maintain machinery. In addition, to provide covered dry storage for hay, straw and other crops on the farm. The dilemma was that the buildings were to be situated in a picturesque countryside setting which would be viewed daily from the farmhouse. However, the usability and practicality of the buildings could not be compromised.
